Austin Idol In The Race For Mayor Of Tampa . . .
Former Professional Wrestling Superstar and Tampa, FL native son Austin Idol who's real name is Mike McCord has declared his run for the next Tampa Mayoral race. Idol who rose to fame with Ted Turners TBS super station and went on to headline in many other areas of the country had one of if not the longest run in Memphis wrestling history smashing box office records for several years culminating in the shaving of Jerry "The King" Lawler's head to which Lawler never avenged.
When asked what he thought were his qualifications to be the next Tampa Mayor Idol was quoted" Not being a politician" and expanded by stating "Being a politician would be a huge disadvantage"! People are fed up with lies and deception and it's time someone stood up and told them the truth. Everywhere you turn the spin doctors are at work for their own agenda, and look at the condition not just of this city, but our country!
Austin Idol will take a stand to get Tampa back on top where it belongs and hopefully other cities will stand up and take notice.
